Savings or Mortgage?

Just a quick one really
Am currently looking into remortgage, but do I use my savings to reduce the amount i need to borrow......... or borrow what what I need and have savings in the bank for a rainy day!!
Thanks any opinions greatly recieved as i am a complete novice at this and I am a big scaredy cat |

| The refinancing of a mortgage by a lender for a borrower currently in default on his or her payments. This is done to avoid foreclosure. Typically, the new loan amount is less than the existing outstanding loan amount and the difference is typically forgiven by the lender. A lender might do this because it is more cost effective than foreclosure proceedings. |

Here is a little secret between us............
Just call a Realtor and have them do a CMA (Comparitive Market Analysis) on your property.........tell them that you were thinking of selling in the near future, of course you wouldn't be under any obligation and you are not required to sign anything for them to do this service for you.........they offer these for free....... |
